I was going to reserve comment on the Benny to MLS and/or Israel rumors, but I do want to say this.  I would have to see Feilhaber smack into a glass sliding door repeatedly, like a parakeet, before I would believe that he isn’t good enough for Derby Freaking Propping Up The Table County.  And perhaps this is just my bias, as well as my refusal to admit economic and sporting reality, but a game between any MLS team and Maccabi Freaking Tel Aviv would be a Mad Lib game.

You know.  ”At [TIME], in [LOCATION], [MLS TEAM] beat Maccabi Tel Aviv by [NUMBER] goals.  “It certainly was [EMOTION] out there,” said [MLS COACH.]  Maccabi fans were [ADJECTIVE] about the loss.  Most observers felt Maccabi looked like a [NOUN] trying to [ACTION] a [HOUSEHOLD OBJECT] with its [BODY PART].”

Also to answer one of Adam‘s questions – yes.  Jorge Campos was on loan to MLS from Pumas.  It worked out absolutely wonderfully for all concerned.
